Engine Mount RH: Removal

4x2/4x4
- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- 2.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- 3.
Remove the following items:- Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
- Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe LH .
- RH CAC intake pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
- Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Outlet Pipe .
- 7.
Remove the following items:- Refer to: Starter Motor .
- Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .
- 9.
Remove the following items:- RH wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- 11.NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
Remove and discard the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolts and separate.
- 12.NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.
Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.

Remove the front drive shaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .

- 15.NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Remove and discard the LH engine mount through bolt.
- 16.NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the engine mount nuts, stud bolts or damage to the engine mount can occur.
Remove and discard the RH engine mount nuts.
- Remove the studs.

Position an adjustable stand under the rear of the engine. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands
- 2.
Raise the engine 50 mm (2 in).

Remove and discard the engine mount bracket-to-engine bolts.- 1.
Remove the engine mount and bracket as an assembly.
- 2.
Clean the engine mount bracket-to-cylinder block and engine mount-to-frame mating surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.
