Coolant Outlet Connector: Removal

- 1.
Remove the fuel rail. Refer to: Fuel Rail .
- 2.
Remove the coolant pump. Refer to: Coolant Pump .
- 3.
Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose. Remove the knock sensor harness retainer from the fastener stud. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- 4.
Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Remove the fasteners and the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- 5.NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Separate the coolant inlet pipe from the coolant outlet connector. Inspect the grommet and replace if necessary.
