Coolant Outlet Connector: Installation

1.
- Lubricate the inside and outside diameter of the grommet with clean engine coolant.
  Material: Motorcraft ® Orange Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolant / VC-3DIL-B (WSS-M97B44-D2)
- Install the grommet.

2.

NOTE: Verify the locating tab is aligned to the coolant outlet connector.

Connect the coolant inlet pipe.

3.

Place the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly into the intake valley. Verify the locator dowel is fully seated into the engine block.

4.

Install and tighten the fasteners. Connect the coolant hoses and install the hose clamps. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

5.

Connect the coolant hose and install the hose clamp. Connect the knock sensor harness retainer to the fastener stud. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

6.

Install the fuel rail. Refer to: Fuel Rail .

7.

Install the coolant pump. Refer to: Coolant Pump .
