Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor: Removal

RH (right-hand) Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensors

1.

Remove the nuts and the engine appearance cover.
Torque: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)

- Disconnect the exhaust CMP sensor electrical connector, remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft ® SAE 5W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Disconnect the intake CMP sensor electrical connector, remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft ® SAE 5W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

- Disconnect the intake CMP sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the exhaust CMP sensor electrical connector.

- Remove the retainer and the intake CMP sensor.

- Remove the retainer and the exhaust CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft ® SAE 5W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
