Parking Brake Control: Removal

Release the parking brake cable tension. Refer to: Parking Brake Cable Tension Release .
- 2.NOTE: The brake pedal and bracket assembly and the accelerator pedal must be removed to prevent damage when positioning the carpet and foam support aside
- Remove the brake pedal and bracket assembly and the accelerator pedal. Refer to: Brake Pedal and Bracket . Refer to: Accelerator Pedal .
- 5.
Remove the 2 bolts, loosen the remaining bolt 2 full turns and position the parking brake aside.Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
- 8.NOTE: Do not allow the foam support (located below the carpet) to separate from the carpet insulation or damage to the foam support and/or carpet insulation may occur.
Carefully position the carpet and foam support back to access the front cable conduit grommet.
- 9.
Detach the front cable conduit grommet from the floor and remove the front parking brake cable and parking brake control as an assembly.
