Pinpoint Test G : U0100:87: Notes
Refer to Module Communications Network for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition ON, the PCM sends messages to the GWM over the HS-CAN1, the GWM relays these message to the EPB module over the HS-CAN2. If the EPB module does not receive these messages within the specified time frame, the EPB module sets Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). This can be due to a PCM failure, a GWM failure, a circuit failure on the network or an excessive load on the network. For information on the messages sent to the EPB module by the PCM, REFER to: Parking Brake - System Operation and Component Description .
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| U0100:87 | Lost Communication With ECM/PCM "A": Missing Message | This DTC sets in continuous memory if the EPB module does not receive any messages from the PCM. |
Possible Causes
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Network communication concern
- GWM
- PCM
- EPB module
