Turbocharger LH: Installation

Install the turbocharger, then install and tighten the turbocharger mounting bolts.Torque
: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
- 3.
Install the turbocharger outlet pipe to the turbocharger and then tighten the turbocharger outlet pipe clamp.Torque
: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- 5.
Install the turbocharger coolant tubes, then install and tighten the new turbocharger coolant tube bolts.Torque:
Stage 1: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
Stage 2: 60°
- 6.
Install a new turbocharger oil return tube gasket and the new turbocharger oil return tube O-ring seals. Lubricate the turbocharger oil return tube O-ring seals with clean engine oil. REFER to: Specifications .
- 7.
Install the turbocharger oil return tube, then install and tighten the turbocharger oil return tube bolts.Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 8.
Install the new turbocharger oil supply tube filter and the new turbocharger oil supply tube linked sealing washer.
- 9.
Install the turbocharger oil supply tube and then tighten the new turbocharger oil supply tube bolt.Torque:
Stage 1: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
Stage 2: 90°
- 10.
Install the turbocharger intake pipe to the turbocharger and then tighten the turbocharger intake pipe clamp.Torque
: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- 11.
Install the turbocharger heat shield, then install and tighten the turbocharger heat shield bolts.Torque
: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- 12.NOTE: Make sure the turbocharger wastegate actuator hose does not contact the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Connect the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve hose to the turbocharger wastegate actuator.
- 13.
Install the Catalytic Converter LH. REFER to: Catalytic Converter LH .
- 14.
Fill the cooling system. REFER to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- 15.
Install the air cleaner. REFER to: Air Cleaner .
- 17.
Check and top off the engine oil as needed. REFER to: Specifications .
