Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 2.5L Duratec (125kW 170PS), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG): Removal

Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS)
- 2.
- Disconnect the quick release couplings from the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING
- Loosen the clamp and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
- 3.NOTE: Use suitable paper to absorb any escaping fluid.
- 1.
Remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube bolt. Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube.
- 2.
Remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube bolt. Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube.

- 4.NOTE: Use suitable paper to absorb any escaping fluid.
- 1.
Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler outlet tube.
- 2.
Loosen the nut and remove the transmission mounted transmission fluid cooler inlet tube.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview
- 6.
If equipped.- 1.
Remove the retainers and the shield reinforcement.
- 2.
Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- 1.
- 9.NOTE: Make sure that no component falls off during removal.
Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube band seal and backing ring.
- 10.
Lower the vehicle. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview
- 12.NOTE: Make sure that no component falls off during removal.
Remove the transmission fluid cooler outlet tube band seal and backing ring.
