Turbocharger - LH: Installation
- 2.
Install the turbocharger, then install and tighten the new turbocharger mounting bolts.- Tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
- 3.NOTE: Align the index marks for the turbocharger outlet pipe.
Install the turbocharger outlet pipe and then tighten the turbocharger outlet pipe clamp.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- 5.
Install the turbocharger coolant tubes, then install and tighten the new turbocharger coolant tube bolts in the following 2 stages.- Stage 1: Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten 60 degrees.
- 6.
Install a new turbocharger oil return tube gasket and new turbocharger oil return tube O-ring seals. Lubricate the turbocharger oil return tube O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
- 7.
Install the turbocharger oil return tube, then install and tighten the turbocharger oil return tube bolts.- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- 9.
Install the turbocharger oil supply tube, then tighten the new turbocharger oil supply tube bolt in the following 2 stages.- Stage 1: Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten 90 degrees.
- 10.NOTE: Align the marks for the turbocharger inlet pipe.
Install the turbocharger inlet pipe and then tighten the turbocharger inlet pipe clamp.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- 11.
Install the turbocharger heat shield, then install and tighten the turbocharger heat shield bolts.- Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- 12.NOTE: Make sure the turbocharger wastegate actuator hose does not contact the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Connect the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve hose.
- 13.
Install the LH catalytic converter. Refer to Exhaust System .
- 14.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Engine Cooling .
- 15.
Install the ACL assembly. Refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .
