Pinpoint Test As : The Vehicle Dynamics (Damper Control) RTT (RECONFIGURABLE Telltale) Is Never On (SVT Only)

  1. AS1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION

    • Ignition ON.
    • Close all doors, the hood and luggage compartment lid.
    • Clear all message center warnings by pressing the OK button for each warning present.
    • Monitor the door ajar RTT.
    • Open the driver door.
    • Clear the message center popup warning.
    • Monitor the door ajar RTT.

    Is the door ajar RTT off with the door closed, and on with the door open? 

    Yes  GO to  AS2
    No  INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
  2. AS2 VERIFY THE VEHICLE DYNAMICS SYSTEM OPERATES CORRECTLY

    • Verify the vehicle dynamics (damper control) system operates and changes state using the switch.

    Does the vehicle dynamics (damper control) system operate and change state using the switch? 

    Yes  GO to  AS3
    No  DIAGNOSE the vehicle dynamics system. REFER to: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension .
  3. AS3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
    No  GO to  AS4
  4. AS4 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
    No  DIAGNOSE the vehicle dynamics system. REFER to: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension .
