Removal And Installation: Turbocharger: Installation
NOTE:
Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Tighten the new upper TC mounting nuts.Torque
: 37 lb.ft (50 Nm)
- 2.
Tighten the lower TC heat shield retaining bolt.Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 1.
NOTE:
Install the TC heat shield, the new upper TC mounting nuts and the lower TC heat shield retaining bolt finger tight at this stage.
- 6.
Install a new TC oil drain tube O-ring seal and a new TC oil drain tube gasket. Lubricate the new TC oil drain tube O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
- 7.
Install the TC oil drain tube, then install and tighten the TC oil drain tube bolts.Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
NOTE:
The oil drain tube must be fully seated prior to fastener rundown.
- 8.
Install the new TC oil filter.
NOTE:
Do not reuse the TC oil filter, a new TC oil filter must be installed.
- 9.
Install a new TC oil feed tube O-ring seal and the new TC oil feed tube sealing washers. Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
- 10.

Tighten the TC oil feed tube retaining bolt.Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 2.
Tighten the TC oil feed tube retaining bolt.Torque
: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- 1.
NOTE:
The oil feed tube must be fully seated prior to fastener rundown.
NOTE:
Install the TC oil feed tube and the TC oil feed tube retaining bolts finger tight at this stage.

Install the new TC coolant tube sealing washers. Lubricate the TC coolant tube O-ring seals with clean engine coolant.

Install the TC cooling tube bolts finger tight at this stage.
NOTE: Lubricate the TC cooling tube O-ring seals with clean engine coolant.- 2.
Fit the O-ring end of the TC coolant tubes to the TC. The lower coolant inlet tube goes into the TC first.Material

Install the TC coolant tube hose end to the water outlet adapter port.Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- 4.
Tighten TC the coolant tube bolt.Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 5.
Tighten TC the coolant tube bolt.Torque
: 27 lb.ft (37 Nm)
- 1.

Install and then tighten the catalytic converter flange nuts.Torque
: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- 2.
Install and then tighten the catalytic converter bracket bolts.Torque
: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Install the A/C Compressor Belt. Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING (A C) COMPRESSOR BELT .
- 22.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
