Active Grille Shutter: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. 1.

    WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this service information, refer to Safety Warnings in GENERAL INFORMATION (HYBRID/ENERGI) . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions .

  1. 2.

    Remove the front bumper cover. REFER to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

  1. 3.

    If equipped, remove the charge air cooler.

  1. 4.

    Release the retaining tabs and remove the linkage.

  1. 5.

    On both sides. Remove the pin-type retainers.

  1. 6.

    Remove the bolts and the active grille shutter.

    Torque

    : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
