Rear Seat Backrest: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: The 40 percent backrest must be removed to allow removal of the 60 percent backrest.

All backrests

1.

Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to: Rear Seat Cushion .

  Lift the rear seat latch release handle.
- 2.
  
  Lower the rear seat backrest.

If equipped with heated seats. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector.

  Lower the backrest.
- 2.
  
  Rotate the backrest hinge locking arm rearward and release the backrest.
- 3.
  
  Remove the 40 percent seat backrest.

60 percent backrest

If equipped with conventional safety belts. Remove the bolt and position the rear center safety belt aside.
Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

If equipped with inflatable safety belts. Remove the bolt and position the rear center safety belt aside.
Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

  Lower the rear seat backrest.
