Trailing Arm: Installation
- 1.NOTE: Fabricate a spacer.NOTE: Focus, Focus-BEV and Focus-ST require different length spacers.

Focus, Focus-BEV. Measure the length as per the specifications.

Focus-ST. Measure the length as per the specifications.

Support the rear suspension and position the correct spacer. Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack
- 3.

Install the trailing arm and tighten the new front bolts.Torque
: 129 lb.ft (175 Nm)
- 2.NOTE: Finger tight at this stage.
Install the new trailing arm-to-lower arm bolt and nut.

Position the front lower arm and brake hoses and bracket and tighten the bolts.Torque
: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
- 7.
Position the rear shock absorber and install the new rear shock absorber lower bolt.Torque
: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
- 9.
Install the wheel bearing and wheel hub. REFER to: Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub
- 10.
Install the spring. REFER to: Spring
