Pinpoint Test F : The Tachometer Is Inoperative: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

NOTE: If DTC U0100:00 sets in the IPC, other observable symptoms can be an inoperative speedometer, temperature gauge or odometer.

If the BCM does not receive the engine rpm data from the PCM for more than 1 second, the BCM and IPC set DTC U0100:00.

If the IPC does not receive the engine rpm data for more than 1 second, the IPC defaults the tachometer to 0 rpm.
