Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation

Deactivation 

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this article, refer to Health and Safety Precautions . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

  1. 1.

    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions .

  1. 2.

    Place the ignition in the OFF position.

  1. 3.

    Verify the battery is fully charged. Refer to: Battery .

  1. 4.

    NOTE: On vehicles with Push-Button Start, place a programmed passive key in the PATS backup starting location.

    Place the ignition in the ON position.

  1. 5.

    NOTE: Steps 5 and 6 must be carried out within 10 seconds.

    Press and release the brake pedal 5 times.

  1. 6.

    Press and release the hazard switch 2 times (on, off).

  1. 7.

    NOTE: When exiting Factory mode, the IPC message center will indicate NORMAL MODE when the procedure has been successfully completed.

    Place the ignition in the OFF position.
