Front Bumper: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1.

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this service information, refer to Safety Warnings in GENERAL INFORMATION (ELECTRIC) . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

2.

Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover .

3.

Position aside the LH lighting wire harness.

4.

Remove the 4 bolts and the lower radiator support.

Remove the forward PCM case bolt.

Remove the bolt and position aside the horn assembly.

Remove the forward washer reservoir bolt.

Position aside the horn wiring harness.

Remove the upper radiator air deflector.

Remove the 2 lower radiator grille support bolts and adjusters.

NOTE: On both sides.

Loosen but do not remove one of the upper bumper nuts on each side. Remove the remaining nuts.

Remove the forward fender bolts.

Loosen as far as possible but do not remove the upper radiator grille reinforcement bolts.

With the help of an assistant, remove the previously loosened bumper nuts and carefully remove the bumper assembly.
