Pinpoint Test E : The Odometer Is Inoperative: Notes

Diagnostic Overview

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Odometer. Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .

If the odometer count message is missing from the GWM for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0401:82 and the IPC defaults the odometer display to all dashes (------).

If the odometer count message is deemed invalid by the IPC, the IPC defaults the odometer display to all dashes (------). If the NVM becomes corrupted or if any NVM failure occurs, odometer displays ERROR.
