Pinpoint Test BH : Pinpoint Test BH: The Compass Display Is Inoperative

  1. BH1 CHECK FOR AUDIO SYSTEM CONTENT

    • Check if the vehicle is equipped with a touchscreen audio system.

    Is the vehicle equipped with a touchscreen audio system? 

    Yes  REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems 8-I or Information and Entertainment Systems Son .
    No  GO to  BH2.

  2. BH2 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE GPSM SELF-TEST

    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a scan tool, perform the GPSM self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems 4-2 .
    No  GO to  BH3.

  3. BH3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST

    • Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to DTC Chart - IPC in DTC Chart(s) 
    No  INSTALL a new GPSM. REFER to Information and Entertainment Systems 4-2 .
