Pinpoint Test AZ : DTC U0159:00
- AZ1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AZ2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AZ2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the PAM pass the network test?
Yes GO to AZ3. No REFER to Module Communications Network , The PAM Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool. - AZ3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BF . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BG . No GO to AZ4. - AZ4 RECHECK THE IPC DTCsNOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the PMI may not have been carried out.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0159:00 still present?
Yes INSTALL a new PAM. REFER to Parking Aid Audible . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the IPC self-test. If DTC U0159:00 is still present, INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
