Pinpoint Test AY : DTC U0154:00
- AY1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AY2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AY2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the OCSM pass the network test?
Yes GO to AY3. No REFER to Module Communications Network , The OCSM Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool. - AY3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE OCSM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the OCSM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Supplemental Restraint System . No GO to AY4. - AY4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BF . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BG . No GO to AY5. - AY5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0154:00 still present?
Yes GO to AY6. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AY6 CHECK FOR DTC U0154:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0154:00 set in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) ?
Yes INSTALL a new OCSM. REFER to Supplemental Restraint System . No INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
