Pinpoint Test Ax : DTC U0151:00
- AX1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AX2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AX2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the RCM pass the network test?
Yes GO to AX3. No REFER to Module Communications Network , The Restraints Control Module (RCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool. - AX3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE RCM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the RCM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Supplemental Restraint System . No GO to AX4. - AX4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BF . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BG . No GO to AX5. - AX5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0151:00 still present?
Yes GO to AX6. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AX6 CHECK FOR DTC U0151:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0151:00 set in the RCM or the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) ?
Yes INSTALL a new RCM. REFER to Supplemental Restraint System . No INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
