Fuel Lines: Removal

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2.

Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .

3.
- Disconnect the brake lines.
  Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connector and fuel line retainer.
- Disconnect the vapor tube and fuel line quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

NOTE: RH shown LH similar.

Remove the retainers and the splash shields.

- Remove the retainers and the cross member.
  Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

  Remove the retainer.
  Torque:
  
  Stage 1: 103 lb.ft (140 Nm)
  
  Stage 2: 180 °
- 2.
  
  Remove the retainers.
  Torque: 46 lb.ft (62 Nm)

7.

Remove the retainers and position the heat shield aside.

- Disconnect the brake lines.
  Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Disconnect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

9.

Disconnect the fuel line retainers and remove the fuel lines from the vehicle.
