Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
B12BD:01 Rear Camera: General Electrical Failure A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM when an internal electrical failure is detected from the rear parking aid camera.
B12BD:02 Rear Camera: General Signal Failure A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM when invalid LIN data is received from the rear parking aid camera.
B12BD:83 Rear Camera: Value of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect Sets in continuous memory when the BCM detects that a message received from the rear parking aid camera on the LIN communication circuit does not match the associated message checksum.
B12BD:86 Rear Camera: Signal Invalid Sets in continuous memory when the BCM detects an invalid message from the rear parking camera on the LIN circuit.
U0264:87 Lost Communication With Camera Module-Rear: Missing Message A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM when the BCM cannot communicate with the rear parking aid camera via the LIN circuit.

Possible Causes 

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks 

NOTE: Before disconnecting the rear parking aid camera, verify the connector is properly seated and latched.
