REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
All dimmable illumination does not dim or increase brightness Dimmer switch (part of headlamp switch) VERIFY the operation of the headlamps. If the headlamps operate correctly, GO to Pinpoint Test G . If the headlamps do not operate correctly, REFER to: HEADLAMPS .
The start/stop switch illumination is inoperative or always on - vehicles with Intelligent Access (IA) Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test F 
The LH front window control switch illumination is inoperative or always on - with door modules (with one-touch up window) Window control switch VERIFY the operation of the power windows. For the LH front window control switch, if the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. REFER to: Driver Door Window Control Switch in WINDOW GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS (ELECTRIC) .
The RH front, RH rear or LH rear window control switch illumination is inoperative or always on - with door modules (with one-touch up window) Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test E 
All dimmable non-networked illumination is inoperative Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test A 
One or more dimmable non-networked illumination is inoperative Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test D 
The steering wheel switch(es) illumination is inoperative Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test C 
All dimmable non-networked illumination is always on (networked illumination functions correctly) Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test B 
The IPC illumination is inoperative/does not dim IPC If all other networked illumination sources operate correctly, INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . If all other networked illumination sources are inoperative or do not dim, GO to Pinpoint Test G 
The FCIM illumination is inoperative/does not dim FCIM VERIFY all FCIM controls function normally. If the FCIM controls function normally, INSTALL a new FCIM. REFER to: FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE (FCIM) . If the FCIM controls do not function normally, REFER to: Information and Entertainment System .
The FDIM illumination is inoperative/does not dim APIM
FDIM
VERIFY the audio system can be operated from the FDIM. If the audio system responds normally to FDIM inputs, Refer to APIM HARDWARE TESTING . If the FDIM illumination still does not function correctly after the repair, INSTALL a new FDIM. REFER to: FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE (FCIM) - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC. If the audio system does not operate correctly from the FDIM inputs, REFER to: Information and Entertainment System .
