INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION SYMPTOM CHART

A module does not respond to the scan tool	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors Module	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
All dimmable illumination does not dim	Refer to the Diagnostic Routine	GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
All dimmable non-networked illumination is inoperative	Refer to the Diagnostic Routine	GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
All dimmable non-networked illumination is always on	Refer to the Diagnostic Routine	GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
The steering wheel switch illumination is inoperative	Refer to the Diagnostic Routine	GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
One or more switch or component illumination is inoperative	Refer to the Diagnostic Routine	GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
The right front or either rear window control switch illumination is inoperative	Window control switch	VERIFY the operation of the power windows. If the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS . If the power windows do not operate correctly, REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS .
The left front window control switch illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Window control switch	VERIFY the operation of the power mirrors. If the power mirrors operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS . If the power mirrors are inoperative, REFER to REAR VIEW MIRRORS .
The IPC illumination is inoperative/does not dim	IPC	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the IPC , REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If the scan tool communicates with the IPC , INSTALL a new IPC . REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The FCIM illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FCIM	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the FCIM , REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If the scan tool communicates with the FCIM , INSTALL a new FCIM . Refer to the appropriate Information and Entertainment Systems article for the procedure.
The FCDIM illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FCDIM	CHECK for normal operation of the audio system. If the audio system operates correctly, INSTALL a new FCDIM . REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - 4.2-INCH (107MM) SCREEN 6 SPEAKERS . If the audio system does not operate correctly, REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - 4.2-INCH (107MM) SCREEN 6 SPEAKERS to diagnose the audio system does not operate correctly from the FCDIM .
The FDIM illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FDIM	If the audio system operates correctly, INSTALL a new FDIM . REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - 8-INCH (203MM) TOUCHSCREEN, 7 SPEAKERS (8-Inch (203 mm) Touchscreen, 7 Speakers) or INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - SONY SOUND 8-INCH (203MM) TOUCHSCREEN, 12 SPEAKERS (Sony® Sound 8-Inch (203 mm) Touchscreen, 12 Speakers). If the audio system operates correctly, INSTALL a new FDIM . REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - 8-INCH (203MM) TOUCHSCREEN, 7 SPEAKERS (8-Inch (203 mm) Touchscreen, 7 Speakers) or INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - SONY SOUND 8-INCH (203MM) TOUCHSCREEN, 12 SPEAKERS (Sony® Sound 8-Inch (203 mm) Touchscreen, 12 Speakers).
