Pinpoint Test Ax: DTC U0151:00
- AX1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes : GO to AX2 .
- No : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- AX2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the RCM pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to AX3 .
- No : REFER to Pinpoint Test F: The Restraints Control Module (RCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool
- AX3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE RCM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the RCM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- No : GO to AX4 .
- AX4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U3003:16, GO to PINPOINT TEST BF .
For DTC U3003:17, GO to PINPOINT TEST BG .
- No : GO to AX5 .
- AX5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0151:00 still present?
- Yes : GO to AX6 .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- AX6 CHECK FOR DTC U0151:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0151:00 set in the RCM or the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM)?
- Yes : INSTALL a new RCM . REFER to Restraints Control Module (RCM) .
- No : INSTALL a new IPC . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
