Pinpoint Test G: The Power Seat Is Inoperative - Passenger, With Power Recliner
- G1 CHECK THE PASSENGER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH FOR VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Depower the SRS . Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
- Disconnect: Passenger Seat Side Air Bag C337.
- Disconnect: Passenger Safety Belt Buckle C3066.
- Disconnect: Passenger Seat Control Switch C330.

WARNING: Make sure no one is in the vehicle and there is nothing blocking or placed in front of any airbag when the battery is connected. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury in the event of an accidental deployment.
Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Measure the voltage between driver seat control switch C330-5 , circuit CBX05 (VT/RD), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
- Yes : GO to G2 .
- No
: VERIFY Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 42 (30A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the OEM WIRING DIAGRAMS
to identify possible causes of the circuit short. TEST the system for normal operation.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag C337 and passenger safety belt buckle C3066. REPOWER the SRS . REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
- G2 CHECK THE PASSENGER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between passenger seat control switch C330-3 , circuit GD903 (BK/WH), harness side and ground.
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes
: INSTALL a new passenger seat control switch. REFER to SEAT CONTROL SWITCH - FRONT in this article. TEST the system for normal operation.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag C337 and passenger safety belt buckle C3066. REPOWER the SRS . REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
- No
: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag C337 and passenger safety belt buckle C3066. REPOWER the SRS . REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
