Removal and Installation

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW, SECOND ROW  in this article.
  1. Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - SECOND ROW  in this article.
  2. Open the cushion cover.
    1. Release the clip and separate the strut.
    2. Separate the J-clips.
    3. Separate the hook-and-loop strips.

  3. NOTE: Typical cushion cover retainer shown in illustration, others similar.

    From under the seat, detach the 4 cushion cover retainers and pull them out from between the cushion frame and seat track.

  4. Remove the cushion foam pad and cushion cover from the cushion frame.
  5. Remove the manual recline handle.
    1. Locate the spring clip between the recline cover and handle.
    2. Remove the spring clip and slide the manual recline handle off the shaft.

  6. Pull to release the retainers and remove the outboard recliner outer cover.
    • Pull the strap through the cover.
  7. Detach the outboard recliner attachments.
    1. Remove the 3 outboard recliner inner cover screws.
    2. Detach the cable from the outboard recliner.
    3. Remove the outboard recliner-to-cushion frame rear bolt.
      • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

  8. Detach the outboard recliner inner cable.
    1. Remove the rivet, detach the cable and cover.
    2. Separate the cable end from the recliner.

  9. Pull to release the retainers and remove the inboard recliner outer cover.
  10. Detach the inboard recliner attachments.
    1. Remove the 3 inboard recliner inner cover screws.
    2. Remove the inboard recliner-to-cushion frame rear bolt.
      • To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

  11. Detach the inboard recliner inner cable.
    1. Remove the rivet, detach the cable and cover.
    2. Separate the cable end from the recliner.

  12. If equipped, separate the electrical connector from the seat track foot.

  13. If equipped, disconnect the power-fold seat motor electrical connector.
  14. NOTE: Note cable and wire harness routing for installation.

    Remove the 6 cushion frame-to-seat track nuts, route out the cables and separate the seat track from the cushion frame.

    • To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).

  15. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
