Pinpoint Test A: The Power Seat Is Inoperative - Driver, With Power Recliner
- A1 CHECK THE DRIVER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH FOR VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Depower the SRS . Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
- Disconnect: Driver Seat Side Air Bag C367.
- Disconnect: Driver Safety Belt Buckle C3065.
- Disconnect: Driver Seat Control Switch C369.

WARNING: Make sure no one is in the vehicle and there is nothing blocking or placed in front of any airbag when the battery is connected. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury in the event of an accidental deployment.
Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Measure the voltage between driver seat control switch C369-5 , circuit CBX05 (VT/RD), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
- Yes : GO to A2 .
- No
: VERIFY Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 23 (30A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the OEM WIRING DIAGRAMS
manual to identify possible causes of the circuit short. TEST the system for normal operation.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. CONNECT driver seat side air bag C367 and driver seat safety belt buckle C3065. REPOWER the SRS . REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering
- A2 CHECK DRIVER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between driver seat control switch C369-3 , circuit GD904 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
- Yes
: INSTALL a new driver seat control switch. REFER to SEAT CONTROL SWITCH - FRONT in this article. TEST the system for normal operation.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. CONNECT driver seat side air bag C367 and driver seat safety belt buckle C3065. REPOWER the SRS . REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
- No
: REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. CONNECT driver seat side air bag C367 and driver seat safety belt buckle C3065. REPOWER the SRS . REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering .
