Removal and Installation

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.
  3. Remove the floor console finish panel.
    • 1. Lift upward and open the storage compartment lid.
    • 2. Lift the floor console finish panel upward to release the retaining clips.
    • 3. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Position aside the LH and RH floor console trim panels.
    • 1. Pull the middle and rear of the LH and RH floor console trim panels outward to release the retaining clips.
    • 2. Pull the front of the LH and RH floor console trim panels downward to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainers.
  5. Remove the RH instrument panel finish panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL - RH .
  6. NOTE: 7 speaker system shown in illustration, other systems similar.

    Remove the 6 center instrument panel finish panel screws and remove the center instrument panel finish panel.

    • 1. Disconnect the electrical connector(s).
    • 2. If equipped, disconnect the push button start switch.
    • 3. To install, tigthen to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Make sure to align the retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
