Pinpoint Test G: "Active Park Assist Fault" Message Is Displayed In The CENTERSTACK Infotainment Display

  1. G1 CHECK THE PAM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the PAM  self-test.

    Are any PAM DTCs recorded? 

    • Yes  : REFER to DTC CHARTS .
    • No  : GO to G2  .
  2. G2 CHECK THE PSCM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the PSCM  self-test.

    Are any PSCM DTCs recorded? 

    • Yes  : REPAIR all PSCM  DTCs. REFER to STEERING SYSTEM .
    • No  : GO to G3  .
  3. G3 CHECK THE SCCM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the SCCM  self-test.

    Are any SCCM DTCs recorded? 

  4. G4 CHECK ABS MODULE DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.

    Are any ABS module DTCs recorded? 

  5. G5 CHECK THE PCM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the PCM self-test.

    Are any PCM DTCs recorded? 

  6. G6 CHECK THE IPC DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the IPC  self-test.

    Are any IPC DTCs recorded? 

  7. G7 CHECK THE BCM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the BCM  self-test.

    Are any BCM DTCs recorded? 

  8. G8 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION 
    • Disconnect and inspect the PAM  connector.
    • Repair:
      • corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
      • damaged pins - install new terminals/pins
      • pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
    • Reconnect the PAM  connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
    • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    • Yes  : CHECK OASIS  for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new PAM  . REFER to PARKING AID - AUDIBLE .
    • No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
