Turbocharger Oil Supply Tube - RH: Installation

  1. If necessary, replace the turbocharger oil supply tube quick connect fitting.
    • Tighten to 16 Nm (142 lb-in).

  2. Install the RH turbocharger oil supply tube with a new turbocharger oil supply tube filter and a new turbocharger oil supply tube linked sealing washer.

  3. Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  4. Install the turbocharger heat shield and the 3 turbocharger heat shield bolts.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  5. Install the RF  tire. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES
  6. Install the RH engine lifting eye and the 2 RH engine lifting eye bolts.
    • Tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).

  7. NOTE: Listen for audible click when installing the turbocharger oil supply tube into the quick connect fitting.

    Install the RH turbocharger oil supply tube into the quick connect fitting. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION

  8. Install the RH turbocharger oil supply tube secondary latch.

  9. Install the HO2S  connector bracket and nut to the engine front cover and attach the HO2S  electrical connector.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in)

    • Connect the RH turbocharger bypass valve hose.
    • Connect the RH turbocharger bypass valve electrical connector.
    • Tighten the RH CAC tube clamp to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
    • Install the RH CAC tube to the RH turbocharger and tighten the clamp to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

    • Install the RH CAC tube nut to the intake manifold and tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
    • Install the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve hose to the RH Charge Air Cooler (CAC) tube.
    • Connect the LH turbocharger bypass valve electrical connector and the turbocharger bypass valve hose.

  12. Install the strut tower brace and the 4 strut tower brace nuts.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  13. Attach the 2 brake booster vacuum hose retainers to the strut tower brace.

  14. Install the engine appearance cover.

  15. Install the cowl panel. Refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS
  16. Check and fill the engine oil level as needed with Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil (US); Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 Super Premium Motor Oil (Canada) XO-5W30-QSP (US); CXO-5W30-LSP12 (Canada); or equivalent.
