Instrument Panel Finish Panel - Center, LH

Vehicles with flow thru floor console 

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Position the front seats forward.
  3. Remove the 2 floor console rear bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  4. Position the front seats rearward.
  5. Remove the LH and RH floor console lower finish panels, in the following sequence.
    1. Pull the rear section of the panels outward to release the retaining clips.
    2. Pull the panels toward the rear of the vehicle.
    3. Disconnect the ambient lighting.
  6. NOTE: When prying on a component, a non-marring tool must be used or damage to the component may occur.

    Remove the instrument panel-to-floor console finish panel.

    • Using a non-marring tool, gently pry outward at the lower corners of the instrument panel-to-floor console finish panel to release the retaining clips.

  7. Remove the floor console upper finish panel.
    • Lift the floor console upper finish panel upward, at the locations indicated, to release the retaining clips.

  8. Remove the selector lever trim panel.
    • Lift the selector lever trim panel upward releasing the retaining clips from the floor console.
  9. Remove the 2 floor console-to-instrument panel bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 2.5 Nm (23 lb-in).
  10. Remove the 2 floor console front bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  11. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly.

  12. Release the selector lever cable retaining tab and remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly retainer.

  13. Disconnect the floor console electrical connector(s).
  14. Position the floor console rearward.

    Vehicles without flow thru floor console 

  15. Remove the lower instrument panel trim panel.

    All vehicles 

  16. Remove the 2 instrument cluster finish panel screws and the instrument cluster finish panel.
    • Release the gap hider retainers.

  17. Remove the LH center instrument panel trim panel lower bolt and the LH center instrument panel trim panel.
    • Pull the LH center instrument panel trim panel toward the rear of the vehicle to release the retaining clips.
    • If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.

  18. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Make sure to align the finish panel retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
