Transfer Case Draining and Filling

Draining
- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid.
- 2.
Clean the drain plug and the area around drain plug.
- 3.
Apply thread sealant to the drain plug threads and install the drain plug.Torque
: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Filling
- 2.
Fill the transfer case with 1.4L (2.9 pt) of clean fluid. The transfer case fluid must be within 10 mm (0.393 in) below the fill plug hole.- Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly (ESOF) transfer case.
