Parking Aid: Notes

The parking aid system consists of the following:

Parking aid sensors (located in the rear bumper)
Parking Aid Module (PAM) (located on the cowl above and next to the brake pedal)
Parking aid speaker (integral to the PAM)
NOTE: Parking aid disable feature is not available when a MyKey® is in use.

Parking aid disable feature (integral to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) message center)

The parking aid system uses of 4 ultrasonic sensors to calculate the distance to an object around the rear of the vehicle. The parking aid system sounds a warning to alert the driver of stationary objects near the rear bumper when REVERSE (R) is selected.
