Liftgate Ajar Switch

The liftgate ajar switch is part of the liftgate latch assembly. When the liftgate is closed, the liftgate ajar switch is closed to ground. The BCM  provides a reference voltage to the liftgate ajar switch. When the liftgate is closed, the liftgate ajar switch closes to ground, pulling the reference voltage low to the BCM  . When the liftgate is ajar, the liftgate ajar switch opens sending the reference voltage high in the BCM  .
