The Compass Is Inoperative

  1. AF1 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE GPSM (GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM MODULE) SELF-TEST 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the GPSM self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    1. Yes  : Refer to the appropriate Information and Entertainment System - General Information for the procedure.
    2. No  : GO to AF2 
  2. AF2 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST 
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC  self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    1. Yes  : REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
    2. No  : INSTALL a new GPSM. Refer to the appropriate Information and Entertainment System - General Information for the procedure.
