An Individual Button/Feature Is Inoperative From The RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) Transmitter

T1 VERIFY THE DOOR LOCK OPERATION
- Press the lock and unlock button on the door lock control switch while observing the door lock operation.
Do the door locks operate?
- Yes : GO to T2
- No : GO to PINPOINT TEST I
T2 VERIFY THE HORN OPERATION USING THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) PID (PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION) (HORN_RELAY)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, view the BCM Parameter Identifications (PIDs).
- Select the BCM horn PID (HORN_RELAY) and active command the horn on then off.
Does the horn sound when commanded on?
- Yes : GO to T3
- No : REFER to: HORN .
T3 VERIFY THE HAZARD LAMP OPERATION
- Activate the hazard lamp function.
Do the hazard lamps operate correctly?
- Yes : GO to T4
- No : REFER to: TURN SIGNAL AND HAZARD LAMPS .
T4 VERIFY THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID RELEASE OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Unlock the doors using the door lock control switch.
- Press the luggage compartment lid release switch located at the rear of the vehicle.
Does the luggage compartment lid release?
- Yes : REPLACE the suspect key. PROGRAM the keys. For vehicles not equipped with push button start,
