The Video Delay Or Guidelines Are Inoperative
- Y1 VERIFY AND ENABLE THE INOPERATIVE VIDEO CAMERA FEATURE
- Verify and enable the inoperative video camera feature within the rear camera settings.
- Test the system for normal operation.
Does the video camera feature operate correctly?
- Yes : The video camera system is operating correctly at this time. The video camera feature concern was caused by the feature being disabled. INSTRUCT the customer on how to enable the video camera features. REFER to the Owner's Manual.
- No : GO to Y2
- Y2 PERFORM A NETWORK TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform a network test.
Do all modules pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to Y3
- No : REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
- Y3 CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE PSCM (POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the PSCM self-test.
Are any PSCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved?
- Yes : REFER to: POWER STEERING .
- No : GO to Y4
- Y4 CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved?
- Yes : REFER to the BCM DTC CHART .
- No
: For vehicles with a 203 mm (8 in) touchscreen, GO to Y5
For vehicles without a 203 mm (8 in) touchscreen, GO to Y6
- Y5 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE APIM (SYNC MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the APIM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved?
- Yes : REFER to the APIM DTC CHART .
- No
: For an inoperative video camera delay, GO to Y8
For a fixed or active guideline concern, GO to Y7
- Y6 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE FCDIM (FRONT CONTROL/DISPLAY INTERFACE MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the FCDIM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved?
- Yes : REFER to the FCDIM DTC CHARTS .
- No
: For a video camera delay concern, GO to Y9
For a fixed or active guideline concern, GO to Y7
- Y7 ISOLATE THE VIDEO CAMERA
- Ignition OFF.
- Install a new rear video camera.
REFER to: PARKING AID CAMERA - VEHICLES WITH: 4-DOOR .
- Test the system for normal operation.
Is the concern still present?
- Yes : GO to Y10
- No : The concern was caused by an inoperative video camera.
- Y8 CHECK FOR CORRECT ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE (APIM) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect the APIM connector.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the APIM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
- Yes
: CHECK OASIS
for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new APIM
. Vehicles with Sony® sound,
REFER to: SYNC MODULE [APIM] - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC/Sony Audio System .
Vehicles without Sony® sound, REFER to: SYNC MODULE [APIM] - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC/Touchscreen Display .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
- Y9 CHECK FOR CORRECT FCDIM (FRONT CONTROL/DISPLAY INTERFACE MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect the FCDIM connector.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the FCDIM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
- Yes
: CHECK OASIS
for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new FCDIM

- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
- Y10 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all BCM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect all BCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

- Yes
