Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The RCM monitors the LH front impact severity sensor circuits for the following faults:
- Open circuit
- Short to voltage
- Short to ground
- Faulted LH front impact severity sensor
If a fault is detected, the RCM stores DTC B0090:11, B0090:81 or B0090:93 in memory and sends a message to the IPC to illuminate the airbag warning indicator.
DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B0090:11 | Left Frontal Restraints Sensor: Circuit Short to Ground | A fault is indicated when the RCM senses a short to ground on the LH front impact severity sensor feed circuit. |
| B0090:81 | Left Frontal Restraints Sensor: Invalid Serial Data Received | A fault is indicated when the RCM senses a faulted LH front impact severity sensor or an open on the sensor feed or return circuits. |
| B0090:93 | Left Frontal Restraints Sensor: No Operation | A fault is indicated when the RCM senses a faulted LH front impact severity sensor or a short to voltage on the sensor feed circuit. |
