Pinpoint Test BB: The Hill Start Assist Chime Is Inoperative

BB1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
1. Yes: GO to BB2
2. No: GO to Pinpoint Test BJ
BB2 CHECK THE OPERATION HILL START ASSIST FUNCTION
- Verify that the hill start assist function operates correctly.
Does the hill start assist function operate correctly?
1. Yes: GO to BB3
2. No: REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL .
BB3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded IPC Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the continuous self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: For DTC U0121:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AE
  For DTC U0140:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AF
  
  For all other DTC, REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
2. No: GO to BB4
BB4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL .
2. No: GO to BB5
BB5 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
2. No: INSTALL a new Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU).
  REFER to: HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) .
