Belt-Minder® Deactivating/Activating: Preparation
NOTE:
The driver and front passenger Belt-Minder® are deactivated/activated independently. When deactivating/activating one seating position, do not buckle the other position, as this terminates the procedure.
NOTE:
The Belt-Minder® can also be deactivated/activated using the scan tool.
- Before deactivating/activating the Belt-Minder®, set the parking brake (manual transaxle).
- Place the transmission selector lever in PARK (automatic transaxle).
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- For vehicles with push-button start, push the start/stop switch to turn the vehicle off completely.
- Unbuckle the driver and front passenger safety belts.
