Parking Brake Cable - LH Rear: Installation

  1. Install the Left Hand (LH) wheel well bracket bolt.
    • Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
  2. Connect the Left Hand (LH) parking brake cable to the brake caliper.
  3. Connect the LH cable and bracket to the RH cable.
  4. Install the wireform bracket bolt to body.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  5. Install the wireform bracket bolt to the subframe.
  6. Connect the conduit equalizer to the RH cable at the equalizer.
  7. NOTE: Make sure that the cable-to-cable union is connected to the front and rear cable before removing the brake control retaining pin and that the cable tension is reloaded slowly.

    Remove the parking brake control retaining pin.

  8. Inspect the parking brake system for correct operation.
