Brake Booster: Removal

NOTE: Steps in the removal procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the remote brake fluid reservoir. Refer to HYDRAULIC BRAKE ACTUATION .
  2. Disconnnect the brake master cylinder brake tubes from the HCU.
    • To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

  4. Remove the 2 nuts and then remove the brake master cylinder and brake tubes as an assembly.
    • To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

  6. Remove the stoplamp switch. Refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
  7. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
    • To install, tighten the new brake booster nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
