Pinpoint Test BC: DTC U0208:00
- BC1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes : GO to BC2.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- BC2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Does the DSM pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to BC3.
- No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK , The DSM Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
- BC3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE DSM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the DSM self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to SEATING - 1ST ROW .
- No : GO to BC4.
- BC4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U3006:16, GO to PINPOINT TEST BI .
For DTC U3006:17, GO to PINPOINT TEST BJ .
- No : GO to BC5.
- BC5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the PMI may not have been carried out.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
- Is DTC U0208:00 still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a new DSM. REFER to SEATING - 1ST ROW . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U0208:00 is still present, INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
