Parking Brake Cable - Rear: Removal

NOTE: Steps in the removal procedure may contain installation details.

All vehicles 

  1. Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .

  4. Remove the rear wheels and tires. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

    All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles 

    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

    All vehicles 

    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

  11. Disconnect the fuel and vapor tube quick connect couplings. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION

    • To install, tighten the parking brake cable bracket-to-body bolts to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
    • To install, tighten the parking brake cable guide bolts to 1.9 Nm (17 lb-in).
