Pinpoint Test AY: DTC U0151:00
- AY1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes : GO to AY2.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- AY2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Does the RCM pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to AY3.
- No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK , The RCM Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
- AY3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : GO to AY4.
- AY4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the PMI may not have been carried out.
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U0140:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AX .
For DTC U3006:16, GO to PINPOINT TEST BI .
For DTC U3006:17, GO to PINPOINT TEST BJ .
- No : GO to AY5.
- AY5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
- Is DTC U0151:00 still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
