Pinpoint Test An: The Key Left In Vehicle Chime Or Passive Key Out Of Vehicle Chime Is Inoperative (IA Only)

AN1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Unbuckle the driver safety belt.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN.
- Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
- Yes : GO to AN2.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
AN2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : For DTC U0140:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AX .
  For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart - IPC .
- No : GO to AN3.
AN3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded BCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : REFER to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS - WITH WINDOW ONE-TOUCH UP to diagnose the smart unlock system.
