Pinpoint Test Ah: The Shift To Park Display Is Never On
- AH1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION NOTE: If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar message center warning is active.
- Close all doors and the liftgate.
- Clear all message center warnings by pressing the OK button for each warning present.
- Monitor the door ajar message center warning.
- Open the driver door.
- Clear the message center popup warning.
- Monitor the door ajar message center warning.
- Does the message center display the door ajar message center warning?
- Yes : GO to AH2.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- AH2 CHECK THE PRNDL PARK (P) OPERATION
- Apply the parking brake.
- Shift the vehicle in and out of PARK (P) while monitoring the PRNDL P indication.
- Does the PRNDL display P with the shifter in PARK (P) and turn off when the shifter is out of PARK (P)?
- Yes : GO to AH3.
- No : GO to PINPOINT TEST AA .
- AH3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U0100:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AT .
For DTC U0101:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AU .
For DTC U0140:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AX .
For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart - IPC .
- No : GO to AH4.
- AH4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THEBCM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : REFER to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - 6F35 to diagnose any transmission range-related DTCs.
